Akrapovic Racing and Evolution exhaust systems are the top of the line of the Akrapovic range, designed for riders who demand the most from their exhaust system in terms of both quality and performance. The Racing and Evolution versions for the Suzuki differ only in their materials. The header tubes for both systems (including the Evolution 2) partially formed using HYDROFORMING technology!

NOTE1: We have also developed an Akrapovic EVOLUTION 2 exhaust system for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000, which is intended only for races and championships which allow louder exhaust systems – 107 dB. The EVOLUTION 2 differs from the EVOLUTION 1 and RACING systems in the design of the muffler. The muffler is shorter and louder (103 dB) than the muffler for the EVOLUTION 1 and RACING systems. The Akrapovic carbon-fiber bracket is mandatory (instead of optional as for the RACING and EVOLUTION 1). The EVOLUTION 2 is only suitable for certain types of competition!

NOTE2: Racing, Evolution, and Evolution 2 systems with the HEXAGONAL muffler are also available for the 2005-2006 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Performance is identical to the oval muffler.

First it should be mentioned that the engines for the Kawasaki KX 250 F and Suzuki RM 250 Z the are identical, so that the performance data and configuration for the two systems are the same. The Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system is a first-level tuning component intended mainly for amateur riders. No special mechanical skills are required for installation, and its low price in comparison with the stock component also makes it suitable for amateur riding, where damage to exhaust systems is a more frequent occurrence. The Akrapovic SLIP-ON is available with two noise dampers, an MX and an Enduro, so that it conforms to FIM regulations with regard to exhaust system noise levels for both types of competition. And of course in addition to the increase in power and torque, the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system will add an aesthetic touch and the renown of a famous brand name to the character and lines of your Kawasaki KX 250 F.
For 2005, the Kawasaki delivers more power than the 2004 model.

Since the Kawasaki KX 250F and Suzuki RM 250Z have the same engine, the Akrapovic EVOLUTION complete exhaust systems for these two models are also identical, both in configuration and performance. The EVOLUTION system is intended for professional MX riders, as its advantages are shown especially in the overrev range. In addition to the performance increase over the stock component, experienced riders will appreciate the weight savings, which count for a lot in lightweight MX bikes. The system conforms to the FIM 98 dB noise regulations for MX competition. Unfortunately, due to excessive noise levels the system in question does not conform to the FIM regulations for ENDURO competition.

We have also developed an Akrapovic EVOLUTION complete exhaust system for the same motorcycle in order to provide improved performance (power and torque) at the lower end of the rpm range. This Evolution system differs physically in the dimensions of the header tube. Regarding power delivery: see graph of the measurements for the Kawasaki KX 250F (2005). For 2005, the Kawasaki delivers more power than the 2004 model.
